hair spit and bend

After perming your hair sometimes you face some critical hair problems. Here our hairhelpers are gave solutions some of those perm problems.

Split and Bent Ends

PROBLEM:

You have split ends and the ends are bent.

WHAT PROBABLY HAPPENED: The ends were fish hooked or not properly rolled in the end papers.

SOLUTION:

You NEED to get the split ends cut off as soon as possible.  If you don’t, the ends will split yet higher and cause greater damage.

TIP:

This can happen even to a seasoned stylist on one rod, but not more than that, and then it should happen only rarely.

Your salon really should give you a refund if this happened on more than one rod.  Certainly the cut to repair the damage should be free, and I should think an apology is due as well.

Curly Wet -Frizzy or Flat when Dry

PROBLEM:

Your hair is curly just after you wash it, but then turns either frizzy or straight as the hair dries.

WHAT PROBABLY HAPPENED:   Either the perm solution was left on too long and the hair over processed, or your hair has had too many chemical services performed on it in recent time.

SOLUTION:

Deep condition the hair with a professional protein based conditioner.  DO NOT OVER CONDITION HAIR.  Do not re-perm at this time either, the results will only get worse.  In 60 days – 90 days you should be able to try again.  Be sure to have your stylist run a strand test  first to make sure that your hair is ready.

TIP:

This can happen even to a seasoned stylist, especially if the salon just changed perm brands, or if the stylist has not permed your hair before and is thus unfamiliar with its unique properties.  Still, it should be the exception and not the rule and you should discuss this with your stylist.
