Do clients need to use special hair shampoo and conditioner after this process? Yes, it is always the best to use hair product that is special designed for your hair need. For this you should recommend Hair Straighteningyour clients to use product such as Crede and Deesse’s to keep the hair silky smooth.
Is this a process for everyone? No, it works best on people who have problems with frizzy or wavy hair and people who have to spend hours blow drying to straighten it.
If clients like curly hair but not the frizz. Will this process help? Yes, with this process, you are able to transform kinky curls to a soft wave without frizz. The process makes hair feel great! After process hair with first lotion, just simply use round brush to dry hair instead of using flat iron.
Is this process safe for color treated hair? It depends on the type of color process the client had. It is not recommended on highly bleached hair. Otherwise, on highlighted or single process colors, it is completely safe to do. Please remember to do strand test!
Does this process take out hair color? It may sometimes take hair a shade lighter, but for the most part “No”. If it does, the hair color can be easily refreshed with your client’s next color service or the hair can be refreshed with semi-color after the process.
Will this process make my hair too flat? Yes and No. It depends on how it was done. You can have the hair to be really paper-flat straight or natural straight. Simply leave product 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch off the scalp for more body look.
What happen if the hair got over-processed or under-processed? Over-processed hair will become extremely frizzy and kinky. It is not a pretty scene. Under-processed hair will be still a little wavy. The process can be applied again. Sometimes we intentionally under-process hair for the softer wavy look.
If the hair has been over-processed, what can be done to fix it? Get another haircut is the best way to go!
